The maintenance of the ground is exclusively mechanical and is done by ploughings and hoeings, by means of plough with teeth and of blades interceps to clear the weeds, to air and make the ground and all the micro-organisms live. A little compost (every 3 years ) comes to nourish and energize the ground.

the protection of the vine is done by the sole use of a very low dose of pulp of Bordeaux (copper salt used since more than 100 years), sulphur, and herb tea of prêle and nettle. Any synthetic product is excluded.

Limited yield favours the expression of the soil. This point is an essential condition to obtain the wines with stony characteristics, but also the grands crus, the Late Harvest and "Sélections de grains nobles" wines.

Manual harvest at 100% on all 13 hectares of the vineyard. This harvest is spread out over 5 weeks to pick up the grapes closest to their optimal maturity. |
